What is I LISTEN TO EVERYTHING all about?
It's a website for designed to help average music lovers keep their music collections up-to date. It’s for people who love music, and are looking for an easy way to find new ideas.
Why is it called "I LISTEN TO EVERYTHING"?
The title is definitely tongue-in-cheek.
I love talking to people about music, and I always ask what they listen to. Nine out of ten people say "I listen to everything," and the other one says "I listen to everything except country." It cracks me up.
Do you really listen to EVERYTHING?
No one listens to everything! I will be the first to admit that in my personal life I don't listen to everything either, but in my professional life I need to listen to everything, or at least a little of everything. Even my version of everything isn't really everything.
How is this website different for other music websites?
There are lots of fantastic music blogs and websites out there. I read as many as I can. I am constantly inspired by them and they teach me a lot about new music. The problem is that many are very insider and dare i say.. pretentious. I listen to Britney Spears, and chances are you do too. I'm not interested in cool-factor.
Who is I LISTEN TO EVERYTHING for?
I wanted to create a website for real people. An easy and accessible place where anyone and everyone could go to find new music. A website my mom would read. I know a lot of people who are in need of new music, but I don't know many who have the time or patience to comb the web in order to find it. I LISTEN TO EVERYTHING is an easy place to find ideas for a new workout mix, or a playlist for a dinner party they have coming up.
Do you have any rules about the music you post?
Yes. Nothing theoretical. Everything posted here - unless otherwise noted- is really music I personally enjoy. There's a lot of great music out there. This is just the stuff I actually listen to.
